Dr.Acken co-founded CityWeb Corporation in September of 1999. Formerly, he was the Content Protection Program Manger at Intel Corporation, a position that included marketing projects for the protection of digital data on the Internet. He was a cofounder of Terret, Inc., an Internet service corporation. Prior to co-founding Terret, he had held various engineering positions including Computer Aided Design Manager at Intel Corporation, Vice President of Engineering at CrossCheck Technologies, and member of the technical staff at Valid Logic Systems, SchlumbergerPalo Alto Research, and Sandia National Laboratories. He received his Ph.D.in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and his B.S. and M.S.degrees in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
